This package will lead you to  some exotic places in western districts of Bhutan such as Punakha Bumthang,  Paro and Thimphu (capital). This cultural tour through the mystical Western valleys of Bhutan is an ideal introduction to the Dragon Kingdom. Highlights include Ta Dzong Museum, Rimpong Dzong with its wooden cantilevered bridge and the famous sacred Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest) in the beautiful Paro Valley.

You will be received at the Paro International airport and then drive towards Thimphu , which is the capital city of Bhutan. In Thimphu, you will get to visit the following sites viz: National Memorial Chorten, Tashi Chhoe Dzong National Institute of Traditional Medicine Bhutanese Craft Bazaar Buddha Dordenma Statue Visit Bhutan Post Office. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Drive back to Paro in order to attend the Paro Tshechu(festival). Paro Tshechu is one of the most prevalent religious festivals of Bhutan. Tshechu means the 10th day of the month of the lunar calendar (Buddhist calendar). The festival is annually held in every Dzongkhags (districts) on the 10th day of different months. The mask dances is the heart core of the festival. The festival is being observed for five days i.e. from 15-21 March 2019.

People from all walks of life come together in their best Bhutanese attires and scintillating jewelries. Men are dressed in their finest gho (national dress for men) while women in extravagant hand woven Kiras (national dress for women). They make sure to appear best and eat best on that special day. It is an occasion wherein one can see families walking towards the fortress with lunch baskets filled with delicious Bhutanese cuisines starting from red rice, varieties of vegetables and meat is a must dish in every person’s plate, if one is a non-vegetarian.

During the Tshechu, Mask dances and folk dances are being performed by the monks and laymen wherein you will find them magnificently dressed in grand silk robes and skillfully crafted masks. It is believed that by watching the mask dances, one gains merits. Hence, people make it to witness this grand event with a hope of paving the road to the next life.  Overnight stay at Paro.




After the breakfast, there will be a hike to Taktsang Monastery. The walk of approximately 2 hours uphill will take you almost a kilometer above the Paro valley (we will arrange a horse for you if you cannot hike). The Taktsang Monastery is built on a sheer cliff which is 900 meters above the valley from where you will have a great sight of the valley floor beneath. The Monastery is an important pilgrim site for the Buddhists. The great Guru Rinpoche is said to have flown here on the back of a tigress when he brought the teachings of the Buddhist Dharma to Bhutan in the 8th Century. There is a cafeteria nearby where you can stop for refreshments before returning to Paro for lunch. Overnight stay at Paro.

After the breakfast, we will drop you to the Paro International Airport from where you will fly back home
