The most spectacular mountain flights you will ever experience in a life time. Flying in from the heat of the plains of India one can witness from the left side of the aircrafts window a series of the world’s highest peaks. Your pilot will announce the names of the peaks if the weather is clear. You will descend into the high mountains and as the plane lowers you will not find any airstrip or any city but instead you will enjoy the view of the approaching valley of Paro, the alpine forests, little monasteries, temples and farm houses. Before the plane touches the runaway you will get a glimpse of the fertile valley of Paro, the Paro Dzong and Paro chu (river). Our representative will be at the airport to assist you, meet and greet and transfer to the capital city Thimphu and rest of the day at leisure. O/n at Thimphu.

When in Thimphu you got to prepare for surprises where this unique capital has no traffic lights but adopted its own version of the British – Indian colonial times traffic policemen who can startle you and memorize others with his elaborate hand gestures, sometimes he may be signaling stop when it looks like go but don’t worry you can observe the flow and notice his smile as you stare at him. Sightseeing includes visit to the National Memorial Chorten a stupa dedicated to the third king of Bhutan and Buddha statue, Takin Zoo where you will find national animal of Bhutan and drive downhill stop at the junction to take a glimpse of Trashichho Dzong. Proceed towards National Library and Folk Heritage Museum. Afternoon take a short walk to Handicraft Bazaar to view the traditional arts. Afternoon at leisure or take a walk to the main city from Clock tower square for shopping. O/n at Thimphu.

 Drive Morning take a leisure drive to the old capital, Punakha valley touching Dochula pass 10,000 ft. and on the stop at Hongtsho village. Stop at the immigration check point to stamp in your permit. Next to the check point you will find small local stalls selling fresh juicy local apples available for sale in plastic bags you could try some. You will be driving through the first mountain pass in the western part of Bhutan. You will find the 108 Druk Wangyal chortens on the top of the pass where the ridges are draped in colorful prayer flags that greets you. You could take three rounds and offer prayers, take some best photo shots. If the weather is clear you will be able to see the highest peaks towards the north, Gangar Punsum among others is the highest unclimbed peak (24,000 ft.) in the world. Stop at Lamperi and visit the Royal Botanical Park for an hour and enjoy nature. If you are lucky you could see red pandas, different species of birds, you can take some photo shot close to the natural lake. Proceed down towards Punakha through Thinleygang village and upon reaching Lobesa turn left and enter Punakha valley. Afternoon at leisure. O/n at Punakha.

Morning visit majestic Punakha Dzong placed strategically at the junction of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers, the dzong was built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to serve as the religious and administrative seat of the region. It was here that the dual system of government was introduced in the 17th century and in 1907, enthroned the first King Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuk. Spend some time at the suspension bridge and enjoy the beautiful landscapes and mountains welcoming you. Later take a short walk through the villages to Chimmi Lhakhang Temple – The divine madman also known, as Drukpa Kinley is a famous teacher with whom the phallic symbol is associated. Do not miss the master’s deeds painted on the walls. Japanese and several American couples visited this temple and were blessed miraculously with children. Afternoon relax at the hotel. Morning drive to Paro same road via Semtokha entering the Babesa express highway. Upon reaching Chunzom check post, stop for a while at the bridge, stretch your legs and walk through the bridge. Proceed towards Paro and check in the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. O/n at Paro.

Morning visit Paro Dzong, the National Museum housed in a round fortress called as the Ta Dzong considered to be one of the best natural history museums in Asia where it has a fine collection of natural and historic artifacts, Paro Penlop Heritage Farm house, Kyichu Lhakhang the monastery dates back to 7th century and is one of the oldest and most sacred. Afternoon visit ruins of Drukgyel Dzong and drive till the base of Tigers Nest. Evening at leisure. O/n at Paro at leisure and evening visit the town for shopping.


Early breakfast and drive base of Taktsang. A day uphill hike to Taktsang Monastary. Paro Taktsang is the popular name of Taktsang Palphug Monastery (also known as Tiger's Nest), a prominent Himalayan Buddhist sacred site and temple complex, located in the cliffside of the upper Paro valley, in Bhutan. A temple complex was first built in 1692, around the Taktsang Senge Samdup (stag tshang seng ge bsam grub) cave where Guru Padmasambhava is said to have meditated for three years, three months, three weeks, three days and three hours in the 8th century. Padmasambhava is credited with introducing Buddhism to Bhutan and is the tutelary deity of the country. Today, Paro Taktsang is the best known of the thirteen Taktsang or "tiger lair" caves in which he meditated.



The 35km drive to Cheli la makes an interesting road excursion and is an excellent jumping-off point for day walks. Chele la separates Haa and Paro valley and at 3810m, it is one of the highest motor able pass in Bhutan. The drive till here from either Paro or Haa is through dense spruce and larch forests according to the seasons. On a clear day, there are spectacular views of Mt. Jumolhari, Jichu Drake and adjoining peaks to the North West, as well as the view of Haa and Paro valley. O/n at Paro.

    In case of any hotel / car bookings, we have to follow the instructions mentioned in that particular hotel’s / transporter’s own booking & cancellation policy. We will not be responsible for that. Hotels / rooms will depend on their availability on the exact date of booking / advance payment transferred from your part. In case mentioned hotel in the package is not available, we will make alternate arrangements or provide a similar category hotel.

    As in some areas the weather remains unpredictable throughout the year, all sightseeing points will depend on the permit, current weather & road conditions. In that case, we will not be responsible for any extra expenses caused by factors beyond our control, like natural calamities – earthquake, flood, land slide, snow-falls, storm, heavy rainfall etc. or train / flight delays, roadblocks, vehicle disturbances/malfunctions, political disturbances, local holidays etc.

    For up to 2 to 4 pax, Alto/Wagon R/ Creta or a similar car will be provided, while for 5 to 8 pax, HI Toyota Bus /Tucson/ Santafe’ or a similar car will be provided.

    As per package, 2 sharing rooms will be provided for adults. No bed will be provided for infants up to the age of 5. However, an extra bed will be provided for children from 6 to 12 years of age.

    Vehicle will be taken for all transfers (point to point drop) & the mentioned sightseeing points only.

    In case of non-availability of rooms, we will provide a similar type of hotel.

    Entry Permit formalities (visa is not required for Indian Nationals)
    your passport will be endorsed by the immigration officers upon arrival at the Paro Intl. Airport, before you are issued with a permit. Make sure you go personally and please carry your passport or voter’s registration card. If you plan to travel by road, the endorsement is done at the entry points in Phuntsoling, Samdrup Jongkhar, and Geleyphu. If by flight, you will enter from the Paro Airport.

    Online permit can be processed for Passport holders in advance.

    **Please do not carry tobacco goods that are over the limits which are 200 cigarettes, on payment of import duty of 200% at the point of entry. To smoke in Bhutan one must produce tax paid receipt on demand. Do not smoke in public places and religious sites.
